More than 500,000 people worldwide living past 100 years of age is increasing, and above 110 years 1119 people are living as per International Database Longevity (IDL). Statistical modeling shows that a life span of 130 years is a possibility by 2100. WHO explain, “Increase physical activity and improving diet can effectively tackle many of the problems frequently associated with old age”. Scientist surveyed 148 older adults about their aging, lifestyle, and general health expectations.
They concluded that expectations regarding aging “play an important role in the adoption of physical activity lifestyle in older adults and may influence health outcomes, such as physical function”. Furthermore, having low expectations regarding aging was independently associated with not believing it important to seek health care.
